Misiones Coloniales de Chihuahua is a non-profit civil association that emerged from a private initiative, with the purpose of creating and promoting projects and programs for the conservation of the cultural heritage preserved in the temples built in the state of Chihuahua from the 17th to the 19th centuries, contributing to the cultural and economic development of its communities.
Our main approach to fostering development in the communities is through promoting projects and programs for the conservation of the cultural heritage contained in the temples built between the 17th and 19th centuries, based on the historical value of the region, the recovery of traditional construction techniques, and the identification of cultural elements that enhance cultural tourism.
Our income comes from the commitment of a Board of Directors that contributes with an annual fee to cover administrative expenses. For restoration works, we obtain resources through calls for proposals, where funds from the three levels of government and the community converge. We also receive recovery fees for services rendered.
Execution, management, and supervision of restoration projects for movable and immovable assets, following national and international guidelines, as well as the validation of the INAH Chihuahua Center for their implementation.
